Margot Robbie attended the New York premiere of A Big Bold Beautiful Journey on Monday night, posing on the red carpet alongside co-star Colin Farrell as the film prepares for its Sept. 19 release.
Robbie, 35, wore a black-and-white, corset-style ensemble with a plunging black overdress and her hair pulled back. She accessorized with silver earrings; Farrell arrived in a light-gray suit.
A Big Bold Beautiful Journey follows Sarah (Robbie) and David (Farrell), two strangers who meet at a mutual friend’s wedding and are swept into an otherworldly adventure that allows them to relive pivotal moments from their pasts. Sony Pictures released the first trailer in June, introducing scenes in which the characters discover a mysterious door in the woods that serves as a portal to memories of their earlier lives.
The trailer presents a mix of romantic and fantastical elements, including moments of unrequited love, loss and reconnection. Lines in the preview include David’s observation that some of the most beautiful places can make a person feel alone and a closing reflection that, regardless of life stage, people need someone to share it with. The film’s cast includes Phoebe Waller-Bridge, Hamish Linklater, Lily Rabe, Billy Magnussen and Jodie Turner-Smith. A Big Bold Beautiful Journey will open in theaters Sept. 19.
