Margot Robbie, known for her significant presence in Hollywood, has adopted her British husband's surname for her professional endeavors. Documents filed with Companies House reveal that the actress, 36, is now formally identified as Margot Elise Ackerley in business matters, a decade after marrying film producer Tom Ackerley, also 36.
The couple, who first met on the set of the 2013 World War II drama Suite Francaise, co-founded their production company, LuckyChap Entertainment, in 2014. This firm has since produced a slate of critically and commercially successful films, including "I, Tonya," "Promising Young Woman," "Saltburn," and the 2023 global phenomenon "Barbie." Robbie is reported to have earned $50 million for her role in "Barbie," which grossed over $1.4 billion worldwide.
Robbie and Ackerley's professional partnership began shortly after they met. Initially housemates with other film crew members in London, they established LuckyChap Entertainment with four of them. The couple later relocated to Los Angeles in 2017, and they married in a private ceremony in Byron Bay in December 2016. They welcomed a son on October 17, 2024.
