The performance featured Madonna in a Saint Laurent by Anthony Vaccarello ensemble, including a black satin trench coat, red leotard, and knee-high boots. Visuals included dancers and lasers, with Madonna initially seated on a piano alongside Carpenter. She later shed the trench coat to reveal the leotard before being moved across the stage on a platform.
Following her solo performance, Madonna joined Charli XCX for a rendition of "Danceteria Afterhours remix." The broadcast was affected by an overrunning football game, leading to delays that frustrated some viewers.
Fan reactions on social media were divided. Some criticized the performance as "utterly unfocused" and noted that Madonna appeared "out of breath." Others defended the artist, acknowledging her age and commending her for her stage presence and continuing to perform.
