Madonna paid tribute to producer William Orbit, remembering him as a "genius" and "otherworldly" collaborator.

Orbit, who was born in London, worked with the Queen of Pop on multiple occasions throughout their careers. He was most notably a key figure on her critically acclaimed and Grammy Award-winning 1998 album "Ray of Light," which marked a new chapter for the artist. Madonna described their studio sessions as "church-like," where she would await his innovative musical ideas.

Beyond "Ray of Light," Orbit also contributed to Madonna's 2000 album "Music" and produced several tracks for her 2012 album "MDNA."

Orbit's extensive production credits also include collaborations with a wide range of artists such as Blur, Pink, U2, All Saints, Robbie Williams, and Britney Spears. His unique approach to music production was widely sought after in the industry.

Madonna expressed that even though she worked with other producers over the years, she always remembered Orbit and "the magical time" they shared, adding, "I was so lucky to have known you and fallen down the rabbit hole with you."
