Madonna Dazzles at VMAs 2026 with $2.8 Million in Diamonds and Custom Grill

Madonna accepted the coveted Artist of the Year award at the 2026 MTV Video Music Awards, making a statement with her choice of accessories: a $2.8 million diamond necklace and a custom diamond grill. The Queen of Pop graced the event in a corset bodysuit, complemented by a striking 115-carat Leviev diamond station necklace.

Madonna's win for Artist of the Year placed her ahead of fellow nominees Taylor Swift, Sabrina Carpenter, Ariana Grande, Bruno Mars, and Morgan Wallen. This marked her second award of the night, having also secured a Best Collaboration win for her duet with Carpenter, "Bring Your Love."

The 2026 VMAs also saw Madonna deliver her first performance at the awards show in 23 years. She opened the ceremony alongside Sabrina Carpenter and Charli XCX, performing "Bring Your Love" and "Danceteria Afterhours."

Reflecting on her journey, Madonna recalled her impactful debut at the inaugural VMAs in 1984. During her performance of "Like a Virgin," a wardrobe malfunction involving a lost shoe and a lifted skirt led her then-manager to predict the end of her career. Despite this early setback, Madonna persevered, transforming the incident into a defining moment.

"I spent the last year and a half finding myself, believing in myself and really making the music that I wanted to make," she stated upon accepting her award. "And, to me, that really is the definition of being an artist."

The diamond grill has become a signature element for the artist, a trend she began exploring in 2022 with a custom set. Madonna has previously addressed the public's attention to her dental adornments, explaining to Jimmy Fallon, "I just like the way it looks — it’s mouth jewelry — and I have really ugly teeth."
