Hayley Hughes, a participant in the 2018 series of the dating reality show Love Island, has announced she is pregnant with her second child. Hughes revealed the news on Instagram on Saturday, coinciding with her 30th birthday.
She shared a gallery of sonogram images, captioning the post, "the best birthday gift I could wish for, soon to become four…." Hughes has not publicly identified her partner, but the couple welcomed their first child, a son named Cody, in August 2024. They became engaged in December.
The family resides in Dubai. Hughes's announcement was met with congratulations from fellow Love Island alumni, including Georgia Steel and Rosie Williams.
Hughes's previous relationship with DJ Tom Zanetti lasted for seven months before they separated. Her time on Love Island was brief, lasting 13 days. During her stint on the show, she gained significant public attention for admitting she did not understand Brexit, and for expressing concerns that it might lead to the UK cutting down trees.
Following her comments on Brexit, Hughes was invited to appear on BBC's Daily Politics, where she engaged in a discussion about the topic with journalist Adam Fleming, Brexiteer Nigel Farage, and Remainer Alastair Campbell. She expressed a desire for younger individuals to gain a better understanding of Brexit, stating, "Since I got to learning about it I actually find it really interesting."
