Love Island's Samie Elishi and Tyrique Hyde Expecting First Child
The All Stars winner and her partner announced the pregnancy seven months after confirming their relationship.
Love Island stars Samie Elishi and Tyrique Hyde have announced they are expecting their first child, just seven months after finding love.
The couple, who appeared in separate series of the ITV2 dating show, shared a video montage of their first scan and early pregnancy moments on Instagram, set to Jodeci's "Forever My Lady." Tyrique Hyde captioned the post, "Can't wait for this next chapter.. Love you @Samie Elishi."
Elishi won the third series of Love Island: All Stars earlier this year alongside Ciaran Davies. However, their relationship ended shortly after the show concluded.
Elishi and Hyde publicly confirmed their romance in April, with Elishi sharing photos from a trip to Morocco. Insiders suggested their connection may have been developing before Elishi's appearance on the All Stars series.
A source close to the situation indicated that the differences between Elishi and Davies became apparent soon after leaving the villa. Elishi, from Islington, North London, and Davies, from Pencoed in South Wales, reportedly found their differing lifestyles and backgrounds challenging. The source stated, "When they got there, Samie decided Ciaran wasn’t for her as he came from a small town. She realized their lives were too different."
Following her split from Davies, Elishi began spending time with Hyde. The insider added, "She came back from Wales, and went on a date with Tyrique. And the pair have been spending a lot of time together."
Hyde had previously expressed admiration for Elishi, commenting on her appearance and personality in online clips months before she entered the All Stars villa. In one instance, when asked hypothetically who he would most like to share a bed with, Hyde named Elishi, calling her "very good looking."
