Lauren Laverne celebrates son's 16th birthday at London Fashion Week

Lauren Laverne marked her son Mack's 16th birthday by attending the Mulberry London Fashion Week show, where they were seated together on the front row. Laverne shared a social media post celebrating her "mini fashion icon" son, showing the pair dressed in matching suits and white shirts, accessorized with Mulberry bags.

Mack, who added brooches to his suit's lapel and a pair of distinctive glasses, was pictured alongside his mother and television presenter Cat Deeley. Laverne captioned her post, "16 years go today I was bringing this newborn mini fashion icon home from the hospital. We had no idea of the fun that was to come. I can't think of a better way to celebrate his birthday than by seeing the incredible @mulberrybychristopherkane #lfwshow."

She continued, "Thank you so much for making us so welcome, team @mulberryengland! Mack, we love you more than we can say. Happy 16th birthday to our fabulous boy. Xx"

The presenter's celebrity friends, including Claudia Winkleman and Sophie Ellis Bextor, sent birthday wishes in the comments. Myleene Klass, who is Mack's godmother, also sent her congratulations, to which Laverne replied, "Thank you for raising him right along with us! Love you xxx."

Responding to a follower who commented on Mack's sense of self, Laverne proudly stated, "Oh yes - he’s been 100% himself since day one! It has been such a privilege to watch him grow up."

Laverne, who is also mother to 18-year-old Fergus with her husband Graeme Fisher, has previously spoken about her children's strength during her own health battles. She revealed in August 2024 that she had been diagnosed with smouldering myeloma, an asymptomatic blood and bone marrow disorder. She received the all-clear from a previous cancer diagnosis in November 2024.

In June 2026, Laverne reflected on her cancer battle, telling HELLO! magazine that her children were "absolutely extraordinary," brave, and loving, which brought the family closer. She emphasized the importance of open, age-appropriate conversations with children during difficult times, noting that her relationship with them had benefited. She also advocated for others to trust their children's resilience and strength when facing serious health issues.

Laverne discovered her smouldering myeloma diagnosis after her GP insisted on investigating persistently low iron levels. She described the condition as chronic with no current cure, requiring careful self-management and monitoring due to a compromised immune system. She expressed gratitude for her GP's diligence, highlighting that this was the second significant health issue caught early thanks to his persistence. She urged others to advocate for themselves and seek specialist advice if experiencing similar symptoms.
