'Landman' Season 3 Begins Filming
Production is underway for the Taylor Sheridan series, with filming centered in the Fort Worth area.
Production has commenced for the third season of the Taylor Sheridan-created series "Landman." Filming for the upcoming season is taking place in and around Fort Worth, Texas, an area with which Sheridan has a history of producing his shows.
Actor James Jordan, who also stars in Sheridan's "Lioness," shared a photograph from the "Landman" set, signaling the start of production. Jordan posted the image with the caption, "Up n runnin’ and back after it!"
The series, which focuses on the Texas oil business, concluded its second season on January 18, 2026, with the Norris family embarking on their own business venture. "Landman" stars Billy Bob Thornton as Tommy Norris.
With production beginning in September 2026, "Landman" is anticipated to return for its third season around the spring of 2027. Given the show's limited reliance on extensive special effects, the post-production phase is expected to be relatively brief. A release window in the summer of 2027 is also a possibility for the continuation of the series starring Thornton.
