King Kenny Seen Leaving Maya Jama's London Flat After 'Celebrity Traitors' Finale
Sources deny romance rumors, stating the pair are 'just friends' after spending time together filming the BBC series.
King Kenny was photographed leaving the London flat of Maya Jama the morning after the finale of "Celebrity Traitors" aired. Kenny, 29, reportedly stayed at Jama's £1.5 million home for two nights.
Rumors of a romance between the two circulated among viewers during the show, fueled by observations of their chemistry, lingering glances, and physical interactions. However, sources close to Jama, 32, have dismissed these suggestions, asserting that the pair are merely friends and that Kenny slept on her sofa.
Pictures obtained by The Sun show Kenny departing Jama's residence to attend filming for "Traitors Uncloaked." He later returned to her flat to watch the "Celebrity Traitors" final as it broadcast. The following morning, he was seen leaving again to participate in Romesh Ranganathan's "Celebrity Traitors Reunion" on Radio 2.
"Maya and Kenny are just friends. There is nothing romantic between them," a source close to Jama told the publication. "Kenny has been firmly on the sofa this week and the pair find it hilarious that their relationship could be anything else. They’ve seen fans of the show talking about them online and find it really funny, but romance has not and is not on the cards."
The insider added that Kenny has been part of a group of friends staying with Jama, and they have all been watching the "Traitors" finale together. The source described them as "really good friends" who have built a "strong bond" during their time on the show.
Jama's representatives have been contacted for comment. The presenter previously dated Manchester City player Ruben Dias, with the pair splitting in May after 18 months together. Sources at the time suggested their relationship ended amicably, with both focusing on their careers.
During "Celebrity Traitors," viewers noted what they perceived as flirtatious behavior between Jama and Kenny, who served as a Traitor alongside James Acaster. In one instance, Kenny jested about how he would perceive Jama if she turned out to be a Traitor, a remark that prompted laughter from himself, Ranganathan, and Sebastian Croft, suggesting an awareness of their on-screen dynamic.
In the show's grand finale, which attracted a record 11.2 million viewers, King Kenny ultimately voted to banish Maya from the round table. He described the move as "so difficult" but necessary for his strategy as the last remaining Traitor. Ranganathan and Croft were ultimately crowned the winners.
Maya Jama did not appear on the "Traitors Uncloaked" follow-up show, reportedly due to filming commitments for Guy Ritchie's drama "The Gentlemen" and her Halloween party preparations.
