Keira Knightley Stars in Racy West End Play with 'Bridgerton' Actor
Knightley shares intimate scenes with Luke Thompson in the new stage adaptation of 'The Lives of Others'.

Keira Knightley is performing intimate scenes with actor Luke Thompson in the West End production of "The Lives of Others." The play, a stage adaptation of the 2006 film of the same name, features the two actors in bed together, with some describing the moments as reminiscent of "Bridgerton," the Netflix series where Thompson gained recognition.
The production, set in East Berlin in 1984, stars Knightley, 41, as Christa-Maria Sieland, a theatre actor involved with Georg Dreyman, played by Thompson, 38. Reports indicate that in one scene, Knightley wears a nightie while Thompson is in his underwear. An insider told the Daily Mail that the pair "romp on the bed in what sources describe to the Daily Mail as ‘like a scene from Bridgerton’" and added that "There are lots of jokes in the show about the couple having a lot of sex."
"The Lives of Others" is running at London's Adelphi Theatre and includes themes of an adult nature, such as strong language, smoking, sexual coercion, and suicide. The play opened on Thursday evening, with tickets available for up to £225 and a run scheduled until January. Paul Higgins, known for his role in "Line of Duty," also stars in the production.
Knightley and Thompson previously worked together on the 2020 film "Misbehaviour." Knightley, who was pregnant during the filming of "Misbehaviour," mentioned on ITV's "This Morning" that she didn't recall working with Thompson on that project, an anecdote that Thompson shared with a touch of humor.
