Kate Middleton, the Princess of Wales, paid a sartorial tribute to her late mother-in-law, Princess Diana, by wearing Diana's cherished pearl earrings to the National Service of Remembrance on Sunday.

The annual event, held at The Cenotaph in London, commemorates British and Commonwealth servicemen and women who have died in war. Middleton, 44, was photographed on a balcony, dressed in a black outfit adorned with three poppy pins, a traditional symbol of remembrance.

The Collingwood pearl earrings, a favorite of Princess Diana, have been worn by Middleton on previous Remembrance Sunday services. She previously paired them with a black-and-white polka-dot dress in 2025 and a black coat dress in 2024. The late Princess of Wales often wore the distinctive jewelry.

Princess Diana died at the age of 36 in a car crash in Paris in 1997. She was divorced from King Charles III the year prior to her death.

Middleton was accompanied by Queen Camilla at the service, while Prince William and King Charles III participated in laying wreaths. Prince Harry, who has relocated to the United States with his wife Meghan Markle and their children, attended a separate, more private remembrance event in Brackley, Northamptonshire.
