Joe Lycett Joins Gogglebox for Stand Up To Cancer Special
The comedian will appear with his aunts, Pauline and Margaret, in the upcoming charity episode.
Joe Lycett has been confirmed as the first celebrity participant for Channel 4's upcoming Gogglebox Stand Up To Cancer special. The comedian, known for his role in "Celebrity Traitors," will be joined on the iconic sofa by his aunts, Pauline and Margaret, to offer their takes on the week's television.
The special is scheduled to air this Friday. In a promotional clip, Lycett introduced his aunties and discussed their Gogglebox activities, which they described as "watching a lot of TV and eating chocolate." The group expressed their excitement to be part of the charity event.
Lycett recently departed the BBC's "The Celebrity Traitors," where he played as a Faithful. He attributed his banishment to his own eagerness to be recruited as a Traitor, combined with what he described as the other contestants' lack of suspicion. He acknowledged his "silly billy" tendency to sabotage himself, stating that he was too keen to experience all aspects of the game, both as a Faithful and a Traitor. Despite his regrets, Lycett felt his "Traitors" experience was authentically representative of himself.
