Jodie Comer Dazzles in Red at Givenchy Show During Paris Fashion Week
The 'Killing Eve' star was joined by Eddie Redmayne and Hannah Bagshawe at the Womenswear Spring/Summer 2027 collection event.
Jodie Comer made a striking appearance in a vibrant red halterneck top at Givenchy's Paris Fashion Week show on Friday. The actress, 33, complemented the bold scarlet garment, which featured gathered material draping from the waist, with smart black trousers and heeled black mules. Her hair was swept into an elegant updo with loose tendrils framing her face.
Comer was in attendance to view the French fashion house's Womenswear Spring/Summer 2027 collection. She was joined by actor Eddie Redmayne, 44, and his wife Hannah Bagshawe, 43. Redmayne opted for a double denim ensemble, including a jacket with an upturned collar and matching baggy jeans. Hannah Bagshawe also wore red, pairing a cardigan with a black leather skirt.
The event saw a host of other notable guests, including Viscountess Emma Weymouth, who wore a plunging black gown with a bomber jacket and shades. Janelle Monáe presented an androgynous chic look in a grey pinstripe suit, while stylist Law Roach sported a blue plaid ensemble. Actress Cynthia Erivo turned heads in a black leather jumpsuit-style outfit, accessorized with a silver handbag, statement black earrings, and platform heels.
Paris Fashion Week commenced on Monday, with collections from designers such as Victoria Beckham and Saint Laurent. Louis Vuitton is scheduled to close the event on October 6.
Earlier this year, Comer spoke to Harper's Bazaar about managing career anxieties, including her theater debut at age 29. "I was very anxious, very aware that people were thinking, 'Is she going to be able to do this?'" she recalled. She added that she has gained more confidence and self-awareness over time, noting that playing multi-faceted characters has helped her discover and illuminate parts of herself.
When discussing her time filming in Belfast for 'The Death of Robin Hood', Comer emphasized the importance of having a kitchen and space for cooking and gardening while on location. She expressed a desire to manifest having a space where she can simply garden. Reflecting on her role in 'Killing Eve', she stated that the character of Villanelle was a blessing, as her complexity prevented Comer from being typecast and offered her significant creative freedom.
