Jesy Nelson's current boyfriend, Ben Davies, has publicly accused her ex-partner, Zion Foster, of not making an effort to see their twin daughters. This accusation follows Foster's release of a new song addressing criticism he has faced regarding his parenting.
Foster, who split from Nelson earlier this year shortly after their twins, Ocean and Story, were diagnosed with Spinal Muscular Atrophy Type 1 (SMA), released a track titled 'Life Goes On.' In the song, he states his "heart is bleeding" and discusses feeling "hurt to the core" while navigating social media "noise." He also raps about having "receipts" and not wanting to cause his daughters further pain.
Davies directly responded to Foster's post about the song, refuting the suggestion that Foster lacks access to the girls. "No one's stopped you seeing the girls, you just couldn't be a***d or too busy writing poems making money off them before anyone pipes up, ask him to send a screen shot of the last messages checking in on his girls... I'll wait....." Davies wrote in a comment.
Foster's lyrics also mention consulting a lawyer and working "everyday to put food on them plates." He sings about putting "logic first" and coming "first."
This public dispute comes days after Foster pushed back against "deadbeat dad" accusations online, coinciding with him hard-launching his new relationship with a woman named Sav. The couple has reportedly gotten matching tattoos.
Foster had previously defended himself against claims of abandoning his daughters upon learning of their condition, responding to a critical comment by stating, "My daughters aren't a talking point." He also expressed frustration with online judgments, telling one follower, "You've seen 15 seconds of my life and decided what kind of father I am. you don't know my story."
Despite the criticism, Foster has received support from some followers who urged others not to judge his life or his actions as a parent without knowing the full context. These supporters emphasized that both parents have moved on and are entitled to find happiness.
Nelson recently debuted her new relationship with Davies, attending the National Television Awards together. She had previously shared a photo of Davies on Instagram in late August.
