Jennifer Aniston lit up when an interviewer mentioned her boyfriend, Jim Curtis, at the Season 4 premiere of Apple TV+'s "The Morning Show" on Tuesday in New York City.
On the red carpet outside the Museum of Modern Art, an Entertainment Tonight reporter told Aniston he was "happy for" her and that Curtis seemed like "a really special guy." Aniston responded with a broad grin and, as she walked away smiling, said, "That's very nice." Video of the exchange was obtained by People.
Curtis, 50, attended the premiere but did not pose for red-carpet photos with Aniston, 56. He stood nearby as she posed for photographers and appeared content to let her take center stage, according to video and photos from the event.
The relationship has been publicly visible since July, when Aniston and Curtis were photographed on Spain's Mallorca island alongside friends Jason Bateman and Amanda Anka. Aniston later "soft-launched" the romance on Instagram by sharing summer photos that included an image showing the back of Curtis' head.
Since the initial reports, the pair have been spotted on multiple outings, including a double date with Aniston's close friend Courteney Cox and Cox's boyfriend, Snow Patrol singer Johnny McDaid, at Nobu in Malibu. Friends of Aniston have been reported to welcome the relationship. An unidentified source told People, "Her close friends love him. He's amazing to be around. He has this really calm and secure energy. Jen loves it."
Curtis has had previous links to the entertainment world. Bethenny Frankel, the former Real Housewives of New York cast member, told listeners on her podcast that she dated Curtis about a decade ago and described him as "a nice guy," saying she was "happy" for both him and Aniston.
Aniston, who stars in and executive produces "The Morning Show," has steadily promoted the show while maintaining privacy around her personal life. At the premiere, several cast members and industry figures attended the screening and related events. Curtis' choice not to pose on the carpet with Aniston echoed a low-key approach to public appearances that both have maintained as the relationship has developed.
The couple's public outings and social posts have fueled media coverage through the summer and into September. Aniston's brief, smiling response on the red carpet provided one of the clearest on-camera acknowledgments of the relationship since it became public.
Neither Aniston nor Curtis has issued a formal public statement about their relationship beyond social-media posts and appearances.
