Jenette Goldstein, "Aliens" Star, Unrecognizable at Rare Public Appearance
The actress, known for her role as Private Vasquez, resurfaced at a 40th-anniversary event for the film, having largely stepped away from acting to run a lingerie business.
Jenette Goldstein, the actress who portrayed Private Vasquez in the 1986 science fiction classic "Aliens," has made a rare public appearance, presenting a considerably different look from her iconic role.
Goldstein, 66, recently traveled to Adelaide, Australia, to mark the 40th anniversary of "Aliens." She appeared in a video shared on Instagram alongside her former co-star Mark Rolston, preparing for an event celebrating the film. In the clip, Goldstein sported a streak of white in her dark brown hair, wore a black top, and donned bold turquoise glasses.
"Guess who!" Rolston said in the video, to which Goldstein replied, "We're gonna be [at the event this weekend] with [our fellow castmates]."
Goldstein's breakout role came in 1986 with her acting debut in James Cameron's "Aliens." She went on to appear in other notable films of the late '80s and early '90s, including "Near Dark," "Lethal Weapon 2," and "Terminator 2: Judgment Day." Her filmography also includes "The Presidio," "Miracle Mile," "Fair Game," "Living Out Loud," "Star Trek Generations," "Titanic," and "Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas."
Her last on-screen performance was in the 2014 film "Under the Hollywood Sign." She also lent her voice to two episodes of the anthology series "Star Trek: Short Treks" in 2019.
By the early 2000s, Goldstein's acting career had slowed, leading her to pivot to entrepreneurship. In 2009, she launched Jenette Bras, a lingerie line based in Los Angeles. The brand focuses on catering to women with fuller busts, with its slogan being "The alphabet starts at D."
On the company's website, Goldstein explained that a personal experience with bra fitting in her forties inspired the business. She described discovering she had been wearing the wrong size bra for years and the positive physical changes that resulted from wearing the correct size, including relief from back pain and improved posture. She noted that many women struggle to find bras that fit their bodies due to limited size selections available.
Jenette Bras operates three boutiques in California and one in Atlanta, offering fittings and merchandise. Goldstein is married to painter Aaron Noble, who also co-created the lingerie company with her.
