Jay-Z treated a packed London audience to a nearly two-hour performance Saturday, marking a highly anticipated return to the UK stage. The rap superstar, born Shawn Carter, brought out surprise guests Lauryn Hill, Wyclef Jean, and Giggs during the show, electrifying fans who had traveled from across the United Kingdom and internationally.

Among the attendees was 19-year-old Prince Dean Sithole from Leeds, who cited Jay-Z as a role model. "Seeing him today shows that dreams are possible and you can be that person that you want to be," Sithole told BBC Newsbeat, emphasizing the rapper's impact, particularly within the Black community.

Jay-Z's musical journey began with his 1996 debut album, but it was his 1998 release, "Vol. 2: Hard Knock Life," that first topped the US charts and earned him a Grammy for Best Rap Album. Over his career, he has established himself as a dominant force in hip-hop, releasing 13 solo studio albums and several collaborative records. His extensive discography has garnered him 25 Grammy Awards.

His influence extends beyond music. Jay-Z was inducted into the Songwriters Hall of Fame in 2017 and the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame in 2021. He has also built a significant business empire through his company, Roc Nation, which represents numerous top artists and has been involved in major productions like the Super Bowl halftime show. Forbes declared him hip-hop's first billionaire in 2019, with his wealth stemming from music, property, fashion, and investments.

Jay-Z and his wife, Beyoncé, are parents to three children: 14-year-old Blue Ivy and 9-year-old twins Rumi and Sir.
