Jade Thirlwall Dons Gargoyle Costume for Heidi Klum's Halloween Bash After Song's Viral Resurgence
The former Little Mix singer's track 'Angel of My Dreams' experienced a significant streaming boost following its feature at the Victoria's Secret Show.
Jade Thirlwall embraced Halloween spirit by transforming into a "gargoyle of your dreams" for Heidi Klum's annual star-studded party. The elaborate costume came after her 2024 solo single, "Angel of My Dreams," achieved unexpected viral success after being featured at the recent Victoria's Secret Show.
Kylie Jenner walked the runway during the show to Thirlwall's song, sporting the event's signature angel wings and the coveted $50 million Fantasy bra. A clip of Jenner's appearance quickly gained traction on social media, particularly on TikTok, where fans recreated the moment, leading to a surge in streams for "Angel of My Dreams." Spotify reported a 4,300 percent global increase in streams for the track and a 760 percent rise in streams for Thirlwall's music overall.
Thirlwall's gargoyle costume featured a cracked, stone-textured skinsuit, draped grey cloth, large feathered wings, and a dramatic hairstyle. She shared images of her transformation on Instagram, captioning them "Gargoyle of your dreams."
The singer expressed surprise at her song's resurgence, noting that "Angel of My Dreams" was released two years prior. "It still hasn't sunk in yet," Thirlwall told Rolling Stone. "I feel like every artist dreams of your song taking off, but the fact that Angel of My Dreams came out two years ago... in my head, it was a worldwide smash."
Thirlwall, who rose to fame with the group Little Mix on The X Factor in 2011, launched her solo career after the group's hiatus in 2022. "Angel of My Dreams" peaked at number seven on the UK charts and was part of her debut album, "That's Showbiz, Baby!" She has since received accolades, including Best Pop Act at the 2025 BRIT Awards.
Thirlwall has acknowledged reaching out to both Kylie Jenner and the Victoria's Secret team to express her gratitude for the unexpected promotion. She also shared humorous social media posts about her sudden need to promote a two-year-old single, while simultaneously working on new music.
