Infanta Sofía of Spain, 19, recently demonstrated a commitment to sustainable fashion by wearing a dress previously seen on her older sister, Princess Leonor, and their mother, Queen Letizia. The young royal was photographed in the eye-catching blue and white patterned maxi dress during a family dinner in Palma de Mallorca.

The dress, a collaboration between Desigual and designer Stella Jean, features a bold cobalt-blue abstract aquatic design on a white background. It has a lightweight, off-the-shoulder silhouette with cape sleeves and a tiered, ankle-length skirt.

Infanta Sofía paired the dress with white espadrille shoes and a beaded bracelet. This marks the third time the garment has been worn by a member of the Spanish royal family. Queen Letizia first debuted the dress approximately three years ago at a reception at Marivent Palace. Last year, Princess Leonor wore the same dress, styling it with navy espadrilles.

The Spanish royal family has a history of rewearing garments, with Queen Letizia often seen in outfits previously worn by herself or her daughters. This practice highlights a move towards more sustainable fashion choices within the monarchy.

Earlier this month, the royal family attended their annual reception at Marivent Palace in Majorca. Princess Leonor and Infanta Sofía attended the event with their parents, King Felipe VI and Queen Letizia, as well as their grandmother, Queen Sofia. For that occasion, Leonor wore a two-piece orange and red ensemble, while Infanta Sofía sported a floral maxi dress.
