Holly Willoughby is launching a new YouTube show titled 'Together' at the end of July, marking her departure from ITV.
The 45-year-old presenter, who previously hosted 'This Morning' for 14 years, has confirmed the launch of her new digital venture. Willoughby is self-funding the project, which will involve both producing and presenting. She is collaborating with a team from her husband Dan Baldwin's television production company, Hungry Bear, known for BBC One shows like 'Gladiators' and 'Michael McIntyre's Big Show.' The show's promotion includes a new Instagram page with a bold pink logo and a "coming soon" message.
This move signifies a shift away from traditional terrestrial broadcasting for Willoughby. A friend of the star told The Mail on Sunday in January that Willoughby, who had worked in television for nearly 25 years and was reportedly earning £730,000 annually at ITV, sought to create her own project. This decision comes as daytime television is perceived to be changing, with audiences increasingly consuming content on digital platforms like TikTok.
Willoughby's departure from 'This Morning' followed a traumatic incident where she was the target of a kidnap plot. In 2024, a former security guard was handed a life sentence in connection with the threats. While Willoughby continued to host other shows, including 'Dancing On Ice' and Netflix's 'Celebrity Bear Hunt,' she has indicated that her future lies beyond her previous network commitments.
Despite being offered other hosting opportunities at ITV, such as 'You Bet,' Willoughby declined them to pursue her new independent project. Her decision to move into online content creation allows her to be both in front of and behind the camera, an aspect she finds particularly exciting. Her friend noted that despite potential criticism, Willoughby is driven by the opportunity to innovate in the evolving media landscape.
