Holland Taylor Found Idea of Acting With Sarah Paulson 'Creepy'

Holland Taylor, 83, has revealed that she and her long-time partner, Sarah Paulson, 51, have turned down film opportunities that would have seen them acting opposite each other. Taylor described the prospect as "creepy," a sentiment Paulson reportedly shared.

Taylor, known for her role as Judge Roberta Kittleson on ABC's "The Practice," explained that while discussing a specific project, she voiced her reservations. "I don't know, it seems kind of eww," she recalled saying. "Wouldn't it be creepy?" Paulson's response, according to Taylor, was simply, "Yeah, kinda."

The couple, who have been in a relationship since 2015, have a 32-year age difference and maintain they have no plans to marry, feeling that a legal contract does not hold the same significance for them as it does for many others.

In previous remarks, Taylor has discussed the "big generational" differences that sometimes arise due to their age gap, noting that certain life experiences Paulson is currently navigating, she has already been through decades prior. Despite these potential challenges, Taylor expressed affection for their relationship, stating they "do have a wonderful resonance" and share similar interests.

Paulson has previously spoken glowingly of Taylor, calling her the "smartest, wisest, funniest, most extraordinary person" she has ever met. She has also referred to Taylor as "the most beautiful woman" she has ever seen.

Neither Taylor nor Paulson has been married previously. Paulson was once engaged to playwright Tracy Letts. The couple's romance first began when Taylor made contact with Paulson via direct message on Twitter.
