Heidi Klum was in Munich on Sept. 16, 2025, where she raised a beer stein at the Hofbräuhaus and posted a video of the moment to her 12.5 million Instagram followers, signaling that she was getting into the Oktoberfest spirit.

In the clip, the 52-year-old model and television host, who serves as a judge on America’s Got Talent and represents L’Oréal Paris, wore a white-and-black dress and styled her hair in loose waves. She spoke briefly in German before lifting the stein for the camera and captioned the post, "Preparations for my Heidi festival at Hofbräuhaus München." In a separate post earlier in the week, Klum wrote "Halloween is just around the corner," after sharing a short teaser of upcoming costume preparations.

The Halloween teaser showed Klum in a seat with materials used by special-effects teams. The clip included instructions from an off-camera voice as Klum bit down on a piece of molding paper; Klum’s regular special-effects makeup designer, Michael Marino, was identified in the post. Marino and his Prosthetic Renaissance team have worked on a range of film and television projects.

Klum has made elaborate Halloween costumes a public annual event, drawing attention for extensive prosthetics and large-scale disguises. Her 2024 Halloween appearance involved an E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial costume that concealed her face inside the alien’s neck. In 2023 she appeared in a large earthworm costume while her husband, musician Tom Kaulitz, dressed as a fisherman. The couple have previously coordinated themed outfits, including a 2018 appearance as Princess Fiona and Shrek.

Klum’s Halloween projects have ranged from anatomically accurate takes on fictional characters to aging makeups and creature effects. Past costumes have included Jessica Rabbit, a butterfly, a chimpanzee, Cleopatra and a Michael Jackson werewolf. In 2016 she opted for a different approach when she hired several models to wear her likeness as a group of "clones." She has described the annual effort as a long-running creative project: in a 2019 interview she said she begins planning the day after Halloween, usually carrying two or three ideas forward before selecting a final concept.

The Munich appearance coincides with the start of Germany’s Oktoberfest season and follows Klum’s recent social posts that mix personal moments with previews of her costume work. Public interest in her Halloween reveals has grown into an annual spectacle, with fans and media outlets tracking her preparatory posts and behind-the-scenes footage.

Klum’s social media updates continue to showcase both her public events and her collaborations with makeup and prosthetics professionals as she prepares for the next Halloween season while participating in traditional cultural events such as Oktoberfest.
