Heidi Klum, a longtime proponent of elaborate Halloween transformations, once again claimed the title of "queen of Halloween" with her costume as a giant, bloodied, severed hand for her 25th annual party in New York. The 53-year-old supermodel and TV host was virtually unrecognizable, describing the look as her own "chopped-off left hand."

Klum's party, a 25-year tradition, draws celebrities from around the world, all showcasing imaginative and often outlandish costumes. This year, her creation required the assistance of an estimated 10 to 20 people to complete. Klum explained that the inspiration struck when she looked at her own hand and conceived of a way to fit her body inside it. "I always try to come up with something unusual and I don't think I've seen an actual person walking around like a hand. I thought that was something new and different," she stated.

Previous notable costumes from Klum include a worm, Medusa, and Princess Fiona from the Shrek films. This year's event also featured guests like actors Neil Patrick Harris and David Burtka, who appeared as the eerie twins from "The Shining." Pop singer Jade Thirlwall adopted the persona of a stone angel, complete with matching wings, while "Severance" actor Tramell Tillman showcased intricate facial prosthetics.

Meanwhile, in London, broadcaster Maya Jama hosted her own Halloween celebration, drawing inspiration from the athletic world. Jama dressed as four-time Olympic champion Sir Mo Farah, complete with a Great Britain vest, shorts, a Union Jack draped over her shoulders, an Olympic medal, a bald cap, and fake facial hair. She told Elle UK that she chose to honor the Olympian because she had wanted to dress as a man for Halloween for years. Jama revealed that Sir Mo Farah was fully supportive of the idea, even lending her his actual Olympic outfits, medals, and trainers, and participating in TikTok videos for the occasion.
