Hear'Say Reunites Over 20 Years Later; Suzanne Shaw Shows Off Abs
The noughties pop group, famous for their hit 'Pure and Simple,' has teased a reunion, while member Suzanne Shaw shared photos of her fitness transformation.
Suzanne Shaw, 45, recently showcased her impressive abdominal muscles in a sports bra, coinciding with the announcement that her former pop band, Hear'Say, is reuniting.
The band, which formed on the reality show Popstars and split in 2002, has hinted at a potential comeback more than two decades after their separation. A new Instagram page for Hear'Say shared a WhatsApp chat conversation between members Kym Marsh, Suzanne Shaw, Danny Foster, and Noel Sullivan. In the exchange, Danny Foster commented on the positive reaction to a shared tour clip, prompting Shaw to reminisce about the band's past. Noel Sullivan then proposed the idea of reuniting the band, which was met with enthusiasm by Marsh.
The Instagram account, which follows only the five band members, posted the chat with the caption "25 years later..." and encouraged fans to sign up for a newsletter promising "up and coming news" and "presale" opportunities, suggesting a tour may be in the works. The post was made on the 24th anniversary of the band's initial split.
Fans reacted with fervent excitement to the reunion news, with many expressing their eagerness for a tour. Myleene Klass, another member of the original lineup, has stated she is unable to participate due to scheduling conflicts.
Shaw's personal update included photos from a family weekend. She shared images of herself with a toned physique, wearing a blue sports bra and grey tracksuit bottoms, highlighting a tummy tattoo.
In addition to showcasing her fitness, Shaw also documented getting her ears pierced for a third time, an activity she shared with a friend, recalling similar experiences from their school days. She also shared moments from a golf outing with her son Raffi, 10, celebrating his birthday, and her grandson Colton. Shaw became a grandmother at the age of 44 when her 21-year-old son, Corey, welcomed a son with his partner. Corey is Shaw's son from her previous relationship with Darren Day.
Shaw also displayed a new shorter blonde hairstyle in some of the shared photographs.
Hear'Say, formed in 2001, achieved significant success with their debut single "Pure and Simple," which topped the UK charts. The band released two studio albums before disbanding.
