HBO's 'The Gilded Age' Inspires Lavish Floral Exhibit in Beverly Hills
Greystone Mansion transforms into a floral wonderland, bringing the opulent world of the popular HBO series to life.
The historic Greystone Mansion & Gardens in Beverly Hills is currently hosting an immersive floral exhibit inspired by HBO's acclaimed series, "The Gilded Age." The eight-day event, running from October 28 to November 4, invites visitors to step into the opulent world of late 19th-century New York high society, reimagined through thousands of flowers.
Southern California florists have created intricate floral installations that pay homage to the characters and themes of the show, which centers on the clash between old and new money. The exhibition aims to bring the fictional narrative to life with elaborate floral displays.
The exhibit is open daily from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Standard admission is priced at $34. For an enhanced experience, an exclusive "Gilded Age at Sunset" event is scheduled for October 30. This after-hours event, costing $110 per ticket, includes champagne, live music, and charcuterie, and is open to guests aged 21 and older.
Early visitors had the opportunity to vote for their favorite floral creations. Awards were presented to Casa dei Fiori for Most Realistic, Kats Florla for Most Creative, Bloom Bloom Floral Boutique for Best in Show and Florist Favorite, and Claridges for Best in Show.
"The Gilded Age," created by Julian Fellowes, transports viewers to New York City during a period of significant industrial growth and social change. The series explores the dynamics between established wealthy families and the newly rich industrialists who sought to break into their exclusive social circles.
