Harry Styles Performs New Song in Tribute to Liam Payne

Harry Styles performed an unreleased song he wrote for his former One Direction bandmate Liam Payne during a concert at Madison Square Garden on Friday. The track, titled 'What Is Enough,' was played on the second anniversary of Payne's death.

Styles, currently on his record-breaking Together, Together tour, addressed the audience at the sold-out New York venue. He paid tribute to Payne, describing him as a friend he "wouldn't have been able to do this without." The singer shared that he felt "incredibly lucky" to play shows in the venue, which holds significance for him.

"There are so many people in my life, friends and people that I've worked with that I wouldn't have been able to do this without," Styles told the crowd. "And two years ago today, I lost one of those friends."

The audience responded with cheers upon hearing the new song for the first time. Styles, wearing a royal blue jumper, encouraged fans to support each other, saying, "I hope you haven't [been through similar things]. But really, it's just about looking after each other."

He thanked those who have touched his life and helped him reach his current position before introducing the song. "I'm gonna play you a song I wrote for my friend about two years ago, if that's all right," he said.

Styles then began to play his guitar and perform 'What Is Enough,' which featured reflective lyrics. Fans shared their reactions on Instagram, with many describing the song as "beautiful."

Styles launched his solo career in 2017 after achieving global fame with One Direction. His solo work has since garnered significant acclaim, with his first album and single reaching UK number ones, and his 2022 album 'Harry's House' winning both a Grammy and a Brit Award.
