Harry Styles Invites Engaged Fans to Star in His New Music Video
The couple, who got engaged at a Styles concert, made a cameo in the music video for 'Coming Up Roses'.
Harry Styles has featured a couple who got engaged at one of his concerts in the music video for his latest single, "Coming Up Roses." Marivel and Frankie, who became engaged during Styles' performance of the song at Madison Square Garden on October 7, were invited by the singer to appear in the video.
The couple makes a cameo appearance at the end of the video, joining Styles in a line-up. Marivel shared on social media that Styles made their engagement "much more special" by including them in the project. She posted photos of herself and Frankie with Styles, as well as from the music video shoot, and revealed a bouquet of white roses and a note from the singer that read, "Congratulations! I am so touched to have been a small part it. Love, Harry."
Marivel also shared videos and photographs from the night of her engagement to Frankie at the concert. "First time seeing @harrystyles and it was such a special night that will be remembered forever," she wrote at the time, adding, "Looks like you're my forever date. Love you. We were on the big screen."
"Coming Up Roses" is a piano-and-strings ballad from Styles' fourth solo album, "Harry's House." The music video, released this week, is wedding-themed and reunites Styles with directing duo Bradley & Pablo, who previously worked with him on "Watermelon Sugar" and "Late Night Talking." The video is set in a surreal dance hall with an eccentric group of people, suggesting that relationships may not always unfold as perfectly as imagined. The song itself, according to Styles, is about "how special something can be, and not everything has to last forever in order for it to be special."
