Glastonbury Festival Coach Tickets Oversold in Ticketing Error

An administrative error by the official ticketing partner See Tickets has resulted in certain coach departures for the Glastonbury Festival being oversold. Customers who purchased coach package tickets for these departures received an email from See Tickets detailing the issue.

Those affected will not lose their festival entry. Their bookings will be automatically converted into general admission tickets, and the cost of the coach fare will be refunded to the original payment method. See Tickets stated that the error will not impact festival deposits, and ticket holders can proceed with paying the remaining balance for their tickets as scheduled.

The ticketing agency declined to comment further on the specifics of the error, but it is understood that Glastonbury Festival itself was not responsible. Coach ticket prices for Glastonbury typically range from £26 to £185, in addition to the general admission fee, depending on the departure location and whether it is a single or return journey.

Customers have been informed that unless they opt to retain their coach seat by October 31, 2026, their booking will be automatically adjusted to general admission. The coach fare refund will then be processed.

The festival strongly encourages the use of public transportation as part of its Green Travel Initiatives, aiming to reduce its environmental impact. This policy requires attendees who purchase coach tickets to board their designated coach for the initial journey to the festival, or their entry may be denied. For some attendees, the administrative error may offer more flexibility in their travel arrangements. Laura Brooks, who secured coach tickets for herself and friends after difficulty obtaining general admission tickets, expressed relief that their festival entry is secured and noted that the change allows for simpler travel from their respective homes. "These things happen," she commented, adding, "I'm just glad we've not lost our tickets altogether."
