Georgina Castle, a West End actress known for roles in Mamma Mia!, 9 to 5 and Mean Girls, married fellow stage performer Simon Lipkin in an intimate London ceremony on Sept. 7, 2025. Photographs of the weekend event were shared by Castle on Instagram with the caption “MR & MRS ♡ 07.09.25.”

The bride, 32, wore a floor-length white lace gown with a long train and veil. Lipkin, 39, who was nominated for an Olivier Award this year for his portrayal of Fagin in the West End production of Oliver!, attended in a classic black tuxedo and white cravat. Friends and family filled the venue, which was decorated with fairy lights, as the couple exchanged vows amid cheers and applause.

A moment captured in black-and-white photographs showed Andrew Castle, the former British No. 1 tennis player and BBC Wimbledon commentator, walking his daughter down the aisle. Andrew Castle has previously spoken about his pride in Georgina’s stage career, telling The Times in 2022 that he and the family had been surprised by her choice of profession but had become its enthusiastic supporters.

Castle and Lipkin met in 2022 while appearing opposite each other in the West End production of Elf the Musical. Lipkin, a veteran of the stage whose credits include Rock of Ages and Avenue Q, has publicly expressed admiration for Castle. In comments made ahead of the wedding, he joked about feeling he had “punched above his weight” and recalled his early appearance in a ginger wig when they first met. He added that Castle was “smarter, more talented, more beautiful,” and said she was “just better than me at everything.”

The wedding follows a Mamma Mia!-themed hen party in Mykonos three months earlier, which Castle posted about on Instagram. She said the event was “a complete and utter surprise” and shared images and anecdotes from the weekend, which included family members and friends and a late-night plunge into a pool.

Castle recently completed a run as Regina George in the West End production of Mean Girls. Lipkin was among the actors receiving recognition this year with an Olivier nomination for his role in Oliver!. Guests at the ceremony included colleagues from the theatre community, who offered congratulations on social media after the couple posted the wedding photographs.

The couple’s announcements and photographs were circulated on social platforms on Wednesday following the ceremony. Neither Castle nor Lipkin has publicly disclosed further details about their plans following the wedding.
