Actress Gabrielle Creevy, known for her roles in "Black Doves" and the award-winning drama "In My Skin," is set to star in the upcoming thriller "The Night They Vanished." Creevy described her character, Anna, as "a gift of a role," calling her "a firecracker - sharp, loyal, and carrying more hurt than she lets on." The series follows Anna as her past resurfaces, forcing her into a nightmare she believed she had escaped.

Welsh Talent Shines in New Production

The new series also features fellow Welsh actor Callum Scott Howells, who stars opposite Creevy. The cast also includes Tamzin Outhwaite as Anna's stepmother and Steffan Rhodri, known for his role as Dave Coaches in "Gavin & Stacey," as Anna's father. The production is particularly significant for Welsh creatives, with Angharad Elen, who adapted the original novel alongside Hannah Daniel, expressing pride in seeing the series set and filmed in her home region.

"I can't wait for audiences to unravel the truth with her," Creevy added about her character.

Production and Broadcast Details

"The Night They Vanished" is produced by CliffEdge Entertainment, a division of BBC Studios, in association with Channel 4. The project received backing from the Welsh government through Creative Wales. The series is slated to air on Channel 4 later this year.
