Fans Speculate Ross Kemp Will Unmask Traitors Amid 'GCSE Drama' Yawning

Fans of "Celebrity Traitors" are convinced that Ross Kemp will uncover the Traitors' latest murder attempt, criticizing Maya Jama and James Acaster for their "GCSE drama"-level yawning.

On Friday's episode of the BBC show, the Traitors were tasked with eliminating a Faithful by making them yawn through boredom. In a tense scene, while King Kenny was occupied by Sharon Rooney, Maya and James attempted to bore Ross Kemp and Jerry Hall into submission.

They engaged in a monotonous conversation and feigned excessive yawning, a tactic that viewers at home found "ridiculously obvious." Many viewers took to social media platform X (formerly Twitter) to voice their suspicion that Kemp, known for his high level of paranoia on the show, would see through the ploy.

"With all the fake yawning, Ross clocked this," one viewer wrote. "Could Maya or even James have slipped up? No-one has questioned Maya yet but this may start now." Another commented, "Ross clocking Maya’s GCSE drama yawning; If that wasn't obvious I don't know what is."

Several viewers pointed out that Ross seemed suspicious, suggesting he would find the excessive yawning unusual. "Ross is suspicious, as always, think he's gonna clock Maya," read one post. Others noted that if Ross were to be eliminated, the surviving contestant would likely be suspicious due to the "extremely odd" behavior.

The episode also saw Joe Lycett banished from the castle. Lycett had openly expressed his desire to be recruited as a Traitor, and during a roundtable discussion, his own words led to his elimination. He admitted, "I did sort of feel like we are all a family now and, as such, expect to be in all of your wills. Very sad to be going, but what a wonderful group of people."

Lycett's departure was emotional for some, particularly Miranda Hart, who had formed a close bond with him. "I can't believe how emotional I'm getting," Hart stated, adding, "Connection and laughter and joy are bigger than this game."

Leigh-Anne Pinnock attempted to lift spirits by teaching Hart some dance moves from Little Mix's song "Touch."
