Fans Outraged by "Ridiculous" Cliffhanger Ending of Celebrity Traitors

Fans of the BBC show "Celebrity Traitors" have voiced their displeasure following a cliffhanger ending in the latest episode that left viewers in suspense. The second episode of the series abruptly concluded during a critical round table discussion, preventing participants from casting their votes on who they suspected to be a traitor.

This unexpected cutoff left viewers frustrated, as they had to wait an additional six days for the next installment to see the outcome of the debate. Social media platforms were flooded with complaints, with viewers describing the ending as "ridiculous" and questioning the decision to deviate from the show's typical format, which usually concludes with a murder or a round table vote reveal.

The heightened tension at the round table focused on actor Richard E. Grant, who had made what was described as a significant gaffe by openly admitting he was a traitor earlier in the episode. This confession placed him under immediate scrutiny from the other contestants.

In addition to the cliffhanger, the episode also saw the elimination of former "Today" programme host Amol Rajan, who was murdered by fellow traitors Richard E. Grant and Maya Jama. Rajan expressed his disappointment at being eliminated so early but acknowledged the strategic play involved.

The second series launch episode of "The Traitors" had previously garnered significant attention, attracting a record-breaking nine million viewers, surpassing previous premieres for the UK version. The celebrity format, featuring a prize of up to £100,000 for charity, pits celebrities against each other in a game of deception and deduction at Ardross Castle in the Highlands.

Earlier in the episode, contestants participated in a challenging mission set in a graveyard, where participants were buried alive in pairs. Jerry Hall opted out of this mission, citing intense fear and exiting the challenge, which meant she and her partner were eligible for the next murder.

The series continues to draw a large audience, though the mid-round table cliffhanger has sparked a strong reaction from its dedicated fanbase, who are eager for resolutions to the unfolding betrayals and suspicions.
