Emily Atack is celebrating her second wedding to Dr. Alistair Garner with a lavish ceremony in the Spanish town of Mojacar. The nuptials, described by Atack as a 'fat, f***-off party,' are taking place at a 16th-century church and are being attended by approximately 200 guests, including several of her 'Rivals' co-stars.
This ceremony follows a legal wedding held in Bedfordshire just a few weeks prior, which was for their closest friends and family. The Spanish celebration marks a return to a place that holds significant childhood memories for Atack, as her father previously owned property in the area. She has spoken of her love for Mojacar, noting it as her family's favorite place on Earth.
Several of Atack's acting colleagues have flown in for the event. Alex Hassell, who famously starred opposite Atack in 'Rivals,' arrived with his wife, Emma King. Victoria Smurfit, another cast member, was also seen preparing for the festivities. Rufus Jones, who plays Atack's on-screen husband, is also in attendance with his wife, Philippa Allam.
The preparations for the event were visible on the morning of the wedding, with crates of Cava, beer, wine, and spirits being delivered to the venue for the after-party. Atack herself was seen surveying the setup at the rented courtyards of two neighboring restaurants, appearing relaxed in a floral dress and sunglasses.
Atack and Garner, who welcomed their son Barney in June 2024, became engaged in July 2025. The couple decided to implement a child-free policy for the Spanish wedding, a decision Atack has stated guests have generally accepted.
Atack shared her enjoyment of the wedding planning process in a previous interview, describing her vision for the day as a significant celebration. She and Garner reportedly considered a Spanish wedding location as far back as last year, drawn by the country's landscape and guaranteed sunshine.
