Spanish actress Elsa Pataky reunited with husband Chris Hemsworth in Fiji this week and shared a series of sun-soaked photos from the couple’s island getaway, posting images of family time after several weeks apart.
Pataky, 49, posted the images to Instagram Thursday, writing "Fiji, sun, surf, waves, family, friends and celebration. Life is beautiful!" and tagging Tavarua Island Resort. The series included shots of Pataky and Hemsworth with their children and close friends and showed the family on the beach and aboard a boat.
One photograph showed Pataky standing barefoot on sand at sunset in a red bikini, silhouetted against an orange sky. Other images included the couple together on a boat, with Pataky wearing a black two-piece and Hemsworth, 42, in a black T-shirt, camouflage shorts and sunglasses, giving a shaka hand sign. Additional frames showed Pataky leaning against the boat in a black-and-white one-piece with oversized white sunglasses and the family on the beach with a surfboard.
The trip follows several weeks in which Pataky and Hemsworth spent extended periods apart. Pataky had been based in Byron Bay and spent time in Spain while filming the TV series Matices, while Hemsworth was photographed attending social events in Europe, including a star-studded 42nd birthday celebration in Ibiza where he was seen with friends and colleagues. Pataky posted a birthday tribute for Hemsworth on his actual birthday, writing, "Happy Birthday to my Rocky Balboa. You're the best of the best."
Reports detail other recent travel by both: Hemsworth attended Wimbledon and took a seaside trip to Hossegor, France, with friends, while Pataky returned from Spain and was later seen running errands in Byron Bay. The couple were seen together in July in London, accompanied by their twin sons Tristan and Sasha, who appear in social media posts from that reunion. The family also includes daughter India Rose.
Pataky and Hemsworth married during the Christmas holidays in 2010 and have made Byron Bay their family home in recent years after relocating from Los Angeles. The Fiji photos were accompanied by images that included friends and scenes of the resort pool and shoreline, presenting the vacation as a private family celebration.
Neither Pataky nor Hemsworth issued additional comment beyond social media posts. The Instagram post provided a public glimpse of the couple's time together on the island and drew attention after weeks of separate public appearances by each spouse.
