Dua Lipa Brings High Fashion to London Literature Festival
The pop star, serving as guest curator, showcased designer ensembles from Chanel, Prada, and Schiaparelli while interviewing literary figures.
Dua Lipa transformed the London Literature Festival into a runway event as she hosted discussions at the Royal Festival Hall. The pop star, who served as the guest curator for the festival, made a stylish statement by wearing a series of designer outfits while interviewing notable figures such as Zadie Smith and Patti Smith.
On Saturday, Lipa appeared in a striking red wool Chanel dress from Matthieu Blazy's autumn/winter 2026 collection, paired with £1,236 stilettos from Le Silla. Later that day, she changed into an ensemble from Prada's autumn 2026 collection, featuring a black camisole top and matching skirt, complemented by floral knee-high socks and white feathered shoes. The Prada top cost £630, the skirt £860, the socks £1,143, and the shoes retailed for £1,836.
On Sunday, Lipa interviewed musician and author Patti Smith, discussing the book "Bread of Angels." For this occasion, Lipa wore an embellished blouse from Schiaparelli's spring/summer 2027 collection, paired with loose black trousers.
An avid reader, Lipa runs her own book club, Service95. She recently shared that her relationship with actor Callum Turner began with a shared love for the novel "Trust" by Hernán Díaz. Lipa recounted how they bonded over reading the same book and even joked about being "on the same page."
Lipa's personal life has also been a recent focus, with her wedding to Callum Turner taking place in two ceremonies: a legal civil ceremony and a larger celebration in Italy. She described their wedding day as "magical," emphasizing the advice to "experience the day as though we were guests ourselves, and to keep finding each other throughout the crowd, never losing sight of one another."
Discussing her work-life balance, Lipa stated she is adept at balancing her career, hobbies, and family. She noted the support from her partner, who also enjoys working, and described their creative process as intuitive and synchronized.
Lipa also hinted that her current happiness may influence her future music. Previously drawing inspiration from heartbreak for her songwriting, she expressed interest in exploring the complexities of a committed relationship and its "quieter moments" for her next creative endeavors.
