Dove Cameron's Wedding Attended by Late Co-star Cameron Boyce's Family
Cameron Boyce's parents and sister were present at Dove Cameron's wedding in Italy, seven years after the Disney star's death.
Dove Cameron's wedding to rocker Damiano David in Tuscany, Italy, was attended by the family of her late "Descendants" co-star Cameron Boyce. Victor and Libby Boyce, along with their daughter Maya Boyce, were present for the nuptials, with Maya sharing photos from the weekend on Instagram.
This reunion with Cameron Boyce's loved ones comes more than seven years after the Disney star died from an epileptic seizure at age 20 in July 2019. Cameron and Dove starred together in the "Descendants" movie franchise from 2015 to 2019.
Other "Descendants" cast members, including Joey Bragg and Brenna D’Amico, and the film's director Kenny Ortega, were also among the guests. Maya Boyce shared a carousel post captioned, "Stunningly gorgeous wedding weekend. Truly unforgettable. @dovecameron ♥️ @damianodavid."
Cameron Boyce passed away during a seizure he suffered while asleep at his Los Angeles home. In the years since his death, Dove Cameron has frequently honored his memory. On what would have been his 27th birthday, she shared photos of them on Instagram with the caption, "Happy birthday. I love you." She has previously spoken about Boyce's kindness and generosity, calling him "magic – an earth angel."
Cameron recounted their professional and personal bond, stating, "He would whisper the dance moves to me on live television when I didn't know what I was doing or hold my hand quietly to communicate wordlessly when we both knew we were thinking the same thing." She added, "I can't count on my hands the number of times we ruined something because we couldn't stop making each other laugh."
Cameron and David celebrated their wedding in Val d'Orcia, Tuscany, following a civil ceremony in Rome. Cameron wore a shimmering off-the-shoulder minidress for the weekend festivities and a custom white suit by Giorgio Armani for the legal ceremony. David wore a classic black tuxedo. The couple hosted a dinner at Castiglion del Bosco and wed in front of more than 200 guests.
