Dakota Johnson Appears Impatient on Red Carpet as Anne Hathaway Directs Photographers

Dakota Johnson appeared to grow impatient on the red carpet at the New York premiere of their new movie, "Verity," on Tuesday. As co-star Anne Hathaway, who is heavily pregnant, enthusiastically directed photographers, Johnson, 36, quipped, "Then I'm gonna leave."

Hathaway, 43, took charge of the posing sequence, counting and directing photographers on how to capture shots of herself, Johnson, and co-star Josh Hartnett, 48. Johnson responded to Hathaway's instructions with her playful declaration.

Despite the moment of apparent impatience, Johnson and Hathaway have spoken of a close bond and "great chemistry as friends on the set" of "Verity." The actors have shared numerous kissing scenes in the film.

Earlier, Hathaway commented on the kissing scenes to Extra TV, stating, "It's a miracle nobody got sick." Johnson reportedly responded that she would "kiss Hathaway for the rest of her life if possible."

In "Verity," Hathaway stars as best-selling author Verity Crawford, while Johnson plays Lowen Ashleigh, a struggling writer hired to complete the remaining books in Crawford's series after an accident leaves her debilitated. Josh Hartnett portrays Verity's husband, Jeremy Crawford.

The film, adapted by Nick Antosca and directed by Michael Showalter, follows Ashleigh as she accepts an offer to ghostwrite for the acclaimed thriller writer Crawford. Upon arriving at the couple's estate, Ashleigh discovers an unfinished manuscript that hints at dark secrets about Verity and Jeremy's past.

Ashleigh must continue her work for Jeremy while investigating whether the manuscript's contents are fictional or a warning from a dangerous woman. "Verity" is scheduled for release in cinemas on October 2.
