Daisy Edgar-Jones Stuns in Satin Corset Dress During "Sense and Sensibility" Promotion

Daisy Edgar-Jones recently captivated attention in New York City while on the promotional tour for her new film, "Sense and Sensibility." The 28-year-old actress was photographed at NBC Studios wearing a striking satin corset off-shoulder dress, reflecting a style inspired by the Regency era.

Edgar-Jones is playing the lead role of Elinor Dashwood in the film, a new adaptation of Jane Austen's 1811 novel. Her promotional wardrobe has featured many corset-style dresses and light-colored fabrics, aligning with the period setting of the movie. She later changed into a more casual ensemble of denim jeans, a beige shirt, and heels.

"Sense and Sensibility" also stars Esmé Creed-Miles, and the pair have been attending events, including FocusFest 2026, to discuss the film. Edgar-Jones has described her character Elinor as someone who is sensitive and strong-willed, while also being deeply internal. She related to Elinor's tendency to lead with her head and manage her emotions, noting, "I think I am very much more Elinor in every sort of way."

The film's critical reception has been mixed. While The Telegraph awarded it five stars, praising the performances as both historically appropriate and fresh, the Daily Mail and The Times gave it only two stars. The latter described it as "Austen by numbers, emotionally flat, dramatically uneven and bizarrely, bafflingly, conventional." On Rotten Tomatoes, "Sense and Sensibility" currently holds a critics score of 79 percent.

In a separate interview with Vogue, Edgar-Jones offered a rare glimpse into her personal life, discussing her three-year relationship with photographer Ben Seed. She acknowledged the challenges of maintaining their relationship due to busy schedules but emphasized their commitment to not being apart for more than three weeks at a time. Edgar-Jones also spoke about her desire to become a mother and her concerns about potential fertility issues related to endometriosis.

She moved to east London to be closer to Seed, who lived in London Fields, and has expressed her affection for the area. Edgar-Jones credits Seed with being a significant support in her life, stating, "He's so supportive and really champions me in a way that is so magic. I feel very safe and happy."

Edgar-Jones also produced Seed's first short film in 2024 and expressed interest in collaborating with him on larger projects in the future.
