Daisy Edgar-Jones Embraces Romantic Style on 'Sense and Sensibility' Press Tour
The actress's wardrobe draws inspiration from the period drama, featuring corsetry, silks, and floral motifs.
Daisy Edgar-Jones has infused her press tour for "Sense and Sensibility" with a celebration of romantic style, with her wardrobe drawing direct cues from the Jane Austen classic.
Over the past month, Edgar-Jones, 28, has promoted the film across three continents. Her stylist, Dani Michelle, curated looks that aimed to reflect the character of Elinor Dashwood and the period of the drama. "We’ve tried to thread every look back to her character and the time period, searching for corsetry, lace, puffed silks, florals and brocade," Michelle told Vogue UK. Edgar-Jones, a Boucheron ambassador, has also incorporated pieces from the French jeweler into her ensembles.
Los Angeles Premiere
For the Los Angeles premiere on October 7, Edgar-Jones wore an archival 1999 Chloé gown designed by Stella McCartney. The ensemble, sourced from Raffe Vintage, featured an ivory silk corset paired with a sheer, floral-embroidered cape and a lavender silk skirt. "Daisy always said she wanted to wear lavender to honor Elinor’s costumes, and having our final red carpet in this moment was everything," Michelle shared on Instagram, noting the look was central to her mood board for the tour. For the after-party, Edgar-Jones changed into a corseted micro-mini dress by Dilara Findikoglu.
Australian Premiere
On October 1, Edgar-Jones attended the Australian premiere in Sydney wearing a custom Miu Miu gown. The dress was described as whisper-light, featuring a beaded corseted bodice and a fully sheer skirt. The day prior, for a photo call, she opted for a white Alaïa turtleneck dress with a tiered ruffled skirt, complemented by the brand’s sheer mesh pumps.
German and Irish Premieres
For her appearance in Germany on September 21, Edgar-Jones selected a slinky silver 2005 gown from the Giorgio Armani archives. The dress featured beaded, tasseled sleeves and was accessorized with custom Jimmy Choo heels and Boucheron diamonds. In Ireland on September 17, she wore a white bias-cut Stella McCartney gown with feathered sleeves, paired with Boucheron pearl earrings.
London Premiere
The press tour began in London on September 15 with Edgar-Jones in a custom Vivienne Westwood gown. The champagne silk dress featured an asymmetrical hem, a corseted bodice, and a gathered train. She completed the look with matching metallic Aquazzura sandals and antique Boucheron jewelry, including a locket pendant and a cameo pinkie ring.
