Daisy Edgar-Jones and Esmé Creed-Miles, who star as sisters Elinor and Marianne Dashwood respectively in the new film adaptation of Jane Austen's "Sense and Sensibility," led the glamorous arrivals at the movie's London premiere on Tuesday evening. The film, set to be released on September 25, is based on Austen's 1811 novel.
Edgar-Jones, 28, known for her role in "Normal People," plays the elder, more reserved Elinor, while Creed-Miles portrays the passionate Marianne. The actresses, who previously worked together as teenagers on the 2018 film "Pond Life," arrived hand-in-hand. Edgar-Jones opted for a satin gown with a plunging neckline and a leg slit, while Creed-Miles chose a statement white skirt paired with a cropped black blazer.

Fiona Shaw, who plays a supporting role in the film, made a memorable entrance by lying down beside a floral display at the event. Shaw, an award-winning actress known for "Killing Eve," was seen interacting with the flowers while wearing a blue coordinated outfit.

The film adaptation follows the story of the three Dashwood sisters and their mother after they are forced to leave their family estate and move to a cottage. The narrative explores their navigation of societal expectations, love, and heartbreak, with Elinor guided by practicality and Marianne by emotion. The supporting cast includes Caitríona Balfe and Herbert Nordrum. The film is produced by the same team behind previous Austen adaptations "Pride & Prejudice" (2005) and "Emma" (2020), and is written by Diana Reid.
