Crystal Lake' Prequel Series Set for October 2026 Premiere on Peacock

The upcoming 'Friday the 13th' prequel series, titled 'Crystal Lake,' is scheduled to premiere on Peacock on Thursday, October 15, 2026. The eight-episode series will explore the origins of the Voorhees family and the story behind horror icon Jason Voorhees' mother, Pamela Voorhees, portrayed by Linda Cardellini.

Set in the 1970s at the infamous Camp Crystal Lake, the series takes place years before Jason becomes the masked killer known from the franchise. The narrative focuses on Pamela Voorhees' personal journey and the events that unfold when two strangers arrive in Crystal Lake investigating her past. Creator and showrunner Brad Caleb Kane, who previously served as co-showrunner for 'It: Welcome to Derry,' described the series as a psychological thriller with the atmosphere of a paranoid 1970s thriller.

In addition to Cardellini as Pamela Voorhees, the cast includes Callum Vinson as Jason. The ensemble also features Joy Suprano as Rita, William Catlett as Officer Levon Brooks, Devin Kessler as Brianna, Cameron Scoggins as Officer Dorf, Gwendolyn Sundstrom as Grace, Nick Cordileone as Crazy Ralph, Danielle Kotch as Claudette, and Phoenix Parnevik as Barry.
