Cristiano Ronaldo and Georgina Rodriguez have married in an intimate civil ceremony at their new mansion near Lisbon. The couple exchanged vows on Tuesday with just their children and four witnesses in attendance, according to reports.

Cristiano's mother, Dolores Aveiro, and his three siblings—Hugo, Elma, and Katia—were reportedly not present at the ceremony, which took place at 1:30 p.m. Local reports suggest that Ronaldo's family was informed of the wedding only moments before it occurred. Despite the absence of his immediate family, his mother later posted a heart emoji on his social media in response to the wedding announcement.

Georgina's sister Ivana, a long-time friend of Ronaldo's named Miguel Paixao, and a Spanish couple, Jose Rodriguez Sangil and his wife Monica Goncalez Martinez, served as the witnesses. The marriage certificate, published by Portuguese newspaper Jornal de Noticias, listed Ronaldo's age as 41 and Rodriguez's as 32. The ceremony was officiated by registrar Maria Manuel Ferreira de Campos Folhadela de Oliveira, who traveled from Porto.

The couple tied the knot at their £30 million mansion in the upmarket Quinta da Marina area of Cascais, just outside Lisbon. The property reportedly features an infinity pool, an underground car park, and a private cinema.

Ronaldo and Rodriguez, who have been together for a decade, also signed a prenuptial agreement on August 10, the day before the ceremony, to keep their pre-marriage assets separate. Their representatives confirmed the wedding took place on August 11, following speculation that they might marry elsewhere.

The marriage certificate indicates the ceremony number was 1,493 for the year and was listed at Porto's Registry Office, rather than Cascais where the wedding occurred. Both Ronaldo and Rodriguez will retain their pre-marriage surnames. The couple has since returned to Saudi Arabia, where Ronaldo plays for Al Nassr, ahead of the new football season.
