Coronation Street's Shona Platt Faces Love Triangle as Sister Jodie Targets Husband David

Coronation Street is set to be engulfed by a dangerous love triangle as a new trailer indicates that Shona Platt's sister, Jodie, will attempt to pursue her husband, David.

Since Jodie's arrival in Weatherfield earlier this year, she has harbored intentions of disrupting her sister's domestic life. The upcoming storyline promises to intensify these tensions, with Jodie, portrayed by Olivia Frances Brown, making calculated advances toward David, played by Jack P Shepherd. Convinced she deserves happiness, Jodie will tell David that he "deserves someone that will treat you right."

This betrayal will not go unnoticed by Shona, played by Julia Goulding. The trailer culminates in a confrontation between the two sisters, with Shona issuing an ultimatum for Jodie to stay away from David "before I drag you away."

Olivia Frances Brown commented on Jodie's motivations, stating, "Jodie has convinced herself that David symbolises her potential for future happiness. She's lost the plot a little bit and truly believes David is the answer to all her wants and needs. When pushed, you just don't know what Jodie's capable of. She has a lot of dark secrets and has a genuinely sinister side to her."
