Chrissie Hynde, the acclaimed lead singer of The Pretenders, has shared her distress over the disappearance of her beloved dog, Nico. Hynde revealed on Instagram that she is "absolutely heartbroken" and fears her five-year-old Jack Russell cross may have been kidnapped.

Nico was last seen approximately two weeks ago in Silkstream Park in Colindale, London. Hynde, 74, urged anyone who might see her dog to approach with caution, as Nico may be nervous after being missing for an extended period. She posted a photo of Nico and pleaded for information regarding her whereabouts, acknowledging the possibility that the dog could be anywhere in Great Britain if she entered a vehicle or was taken by someone.

In further posts, Hynde inquired about Nico's location, speculating on various scenarios, including someone taking her in or a more sinister purpose. She expressed hope that someone might have found Nico and is keeping her, or that she has not met with a tragic accident. Hynde has asked that any information be directed to her, with her team monitoring comments and messages.

Hynde, a prominent figure in rock music, formed The Pretenders in 1978. The band is known for hits such as "Brass In Pocket," "Talk Of The Town," and "Don't Get Me Wrong." She remains the lead vocalist, songwriter, and guitarist for the Grammy-nominated group, which also includes Martin Chambers and Kris Sonne on drums, and James Walbourne on guitar.
