Charli XCX Makes a Statement at National PrEP Day Party

Charli XCX made a striking appearance at the second annual party held on National PrEP Day at The Abbey in Los Angeles on Saturday. The British singer, 34, wore a lace bra under a sheer black blouse paired with hotpants. She completed her look with black heels, sunglasses, and beaded necklaces.

The event, hosted by the LGBTQ+ telehealth platform MISTR, aims to raise awareness for pre-exposure prophylaxis (PrEP), reduce HIV stigma, and expand healthcare access. Several other notable figures, including Demi Lovato, Christina Aguilera, Bella Poarch, and Emily Ratajkowski, were also in attendance.

This appearance follows a recent event involving Madonna, where the singer shared a TikTok video from a hotel bed with Charli XCX and actress Julia Garner. The video, which circulated around 3 a.m., featured the three women dancing. Madonna, 68, wore an all-black ensemble, while Charli XCX wore a black bra and matching pants that highlighted her midriff. Garner, who was chosen by Madonna to portray her in a now-shelved biopic, appeared with blonde curls and a cream-colored satin slip dress.

Earlier, Madonna had sparked fan concern during an appearance at the MTV Video Music Awards. While accepting an award for Best Dance alongside Charli XCX and Troye Sivan, Madonna appeared disoriented, questioning the nature of the award. She made a comment about an object being in her "a**" all night, later revealing it was her microphone. The VMAs performance and acceptance speech generated discussion online, with some fans describing her performance as "utterly unfocused."
