Charli XCX Cancels Arizona Show Due to Lost Voice
The artist cited illness as the reason for canceling her performance in Glendale, Arizona, stating she has "completely lost her voice."
Charli XCX has canceled a date on her Music, Fashion, Film Tour in Glendale, Arizona, due to illness, announcing the last-minute change via her Instagram Stories on Tuesday.
The Grammy winner revealed that the sickness has caused her to lose her voice, forcing the cancellation of her scheduled performance at the Desert Diamond Arena on Wednesday.
"Arizona angels. I am so so sorry to say we have to cancel tomorrow's music fashion film show," Charli XCX wrote. "I have been fighting sickness throughout this run of shows and have now completely lost my voice. I put absolutely everything I have into my performances, both physically and emotionally, and it breaks me that I can't be with you tomorrow."
The 34-year-old artist stated that her team was unable to reschedule the show at the Desert Diamond Arena, expressing her disappointment but vowing to return to Arizona in the future. She apologized to fans who had made plans to attend, acknowledging the effort involved in concert attendance.
The singer confirmed that her performance at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas on Friday is proceeding as planned. "I am now resting ahead of the final show in Vegas this Friday. I want to be back onstage and finish this tour together with you," she wrote.
Charli XCX's current tour began on September 11 at the Xfinity Mobile Arena in Philadelphia and is scheduled to conclude on February 24, 2027, at the Accor Arena in Paris.
Earlier this year, Charli XCX addressed criticism regarding the limited number of dates for her 2027 tour in the UK and Europe, stating that touring is "emotionally and physically hard" for her. She explained that while she respects artists who can manage intense touring schedules, she is not built for that pace. She also noted that she opted for a shorter North American tour for similar reasons, promising to enjoy the remaining shows and maintain a healthy mindset.
Refunds will be issued to fans who purchased tickets for the canceled Arizona date.
