Charles Barkley revealed his frustration with certain trick-or-treaters during a recent broadcast of "Inside the NBA." The NBA Hall of Famer recounted an incident on Halloween where children brought basketball cards to his home, expecting autographs rather than just candy.
"You damn brats gotta quit bringing basketball cards and stuff to my damn house," Barkley stated on the ESPN broadcast. "I’m giving you free damn candy — I’m not there to sign autographs all night."
Barkley emphasized his enjoyment of handing out candy on Halloween but expressed annoyance at the expectation of autographs. "I wanted to punch them in the face, but I couldn’t do it," he admitted. "Quit bringing damn cards to my house. I’m giving you damn free candy — that’s what Halloween is for."
The panel of "Inside the NBA" reportedly responded with laughter to Barkley's comedic rant. The television personality has been a fixture on the show since October 31, 2000. Earlier in the week, Barkley had also delivered an emotional tribute to his longtime co-host, Ernie Johnson, who announced his retirement from the program after 37 years.
