Celine Dion Opens Paris Fashion Week with Surprise Eiffel Tower Performance

Celine Dion made a surprise appearance to open Paris Fashion Week, performing her 2002 hit "I'm Alive" beneath the iconic Eiffel Tower. The Canadian superstar took to the runway at the conclusion of L'Oreal's annual show, marking a significant moment in her public return.
Dion, who was diagnosed with the rare neurological disorder stiff person syndrome in 2022, wore a ruched, full-length velvet black gown for her performance. She was later joined on the catwalk by several ambassadors for the French cosmetics brand, including actresses Viola Davis and Eva Longoria, as well as models Simone Ashley and Aja Naomi King.
This performance follows an earlier comeback show Dion held in Paris this month, her first public performance since a concert in New Jersey in 2020. That show preceded the COVID-19 pandemic, which led to the cancellation of the remainder of her tour.
Paris Fashion Week, which features the spring and summer collections for women's fashion, is scheduled to continue until October 6.
