Celebrity Traitors: Bella Ramsey Eliminated, Spooky Mission, and a Game of Hide-and-Seek
The latest episode of 'The Celebrity Traitors' saw a surprise murder, a graveyard-themed challenge, and a terrifying new twist.
In the latest installment of "The Celebrity Traitors," the game intensified with the murder of actor Bella Ramsey, a chilling mission involving a haunted graveyard, and the introduction of a deadly hide-and-seek game.
The fourth episode, aired on Friday, began with the Traitors, Maya Jama, James Acaster, and Professor Hannah Fry, debating their next move. Ramsey was identified as a significant threat, leading to their elimination overnight. "Get them out the way, that group disperses," Jama stated, as Ramsey's departure was confirmed.
Ramsey, in a diary room confession, acknowledged the move as clever. "I think that they were right to murder me because I think I would have maybe figured it out," they said, reflecting on their performance.
Following Ramsey's murder, the group faced a graveyard-themed mission that required them to retrieve items associated with the deceased, including a child's toys and a wedding dress. This task evoked personal memories for some, like Jerry Hall, who recalled her wedding to Mick Jagger. The mission also involved navigating a haunted cabin and confronting unsettling tasks, leading to screams and gasps from participants like Romesh Ranganathan and Miranda Hart.
During the episode's roundtable, suspicions began to mount against new Traitor Professor Hannah Fry, with Miranda Hart pointing out inconsistencies in Fry's arguments. Simultaneously, singer James Blunt intensified his focus on fellow contestant Julie Hesmondhalgh. Despite her claims of vulnerability, Hesmondhalgh was ultimately banished from the game. "It would be a cruel move taking the most trusted member of our group," Michael Sheen commented, to which Hart added, "Cruel but clever."
Hesmondhalgh expressed that her banishment was a "cruel but clever" move, lamenting, "It may mean I am not a phenomenal actor." Blunt, who had spearheaded the accusations against her, later admitted, "I'm so sorry, that's my fault."
The episode concluded with a dramatic twist: a game of hide-and-seek in the dead of night for four contestants – Ross Kemp, Romesh Ranganathan, Rob Beckett, and Leigh-Anne Pinnock. Presenter Claudia Winkleman revealed that one of them would be murdered face-to-face during the game, adding another layer of suspense to the competition.
"I think this is gonna mess with everybody's heads," said Fry, anticipating the fallout of the new twist. The Traitors themselves agreed to abstain from participating in the deadly game, though they chose Pinnock to be immune from murder, a fact unknown to the other contestants.
